About the 9×9 Cat Queens board

This 9×9 Cat Queens puzzle is a daily logic board for players who want a clean Queens-style challenge without downloads, sign-ups, or distracting game layers. The goal is strict: place exactly one cat in every row, every column, and every color region, while keeping all cats separated so none touch horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Paw marks are there for elimination, not scoring, so use them freely when a cell becomes impossible.

The advanced size is best treated as a pattern-reading exercise. Start with the smallest color regions, then scan rows and columns that already have many excluded cells. After each cat placement, immediately rule out the rest of its row, column, region, and neighboring cells. Every generated board is checked for a single solution, which means a contradiction usually points to an earlier mark rather than a need to guess.

Difficulty notes

More complex patterns. If this board feels too open, move down to 8×8 and practice tighter elimination. If it feels comfortable, try 10×10 where larger regions leave more tempting false paths.

Daily boards count toward the leaderboard; practice boards are for learning the rhythm without worrying about time. Hints are useful when stuck, but clean solves are easier to compare.
